Susanne Scherrer |

Director of the IIIB/IIIA Joint Secretariat Rostock/Riga
Susanne graduated from Hamburg and Budapest University in Political Science and Fenno-Ugristics. She worked as consultant for the EU financed PHARE programme at the EU Delegation in Budapest, but also in Poland and the Baltic States. She joined the INTERREG programme in 1998.
Susanne is responsible for overall programme and human resource management at the offices of the joint secretariat (Rostock & Riga). Her tasks include programme marketing and public relations.

Thomas Weber |
 |
Deputy Director
Thomas started in the maritime sector as a trained sailor and ship mechanic. Later he has studied Business Administration at the
University of Rostock and has, among other things, worked as a consultant in the tourism business. In the Joint Secretariat
Thomas started as Financial Project Manager and set up the financial monitoring system.
Thomas works more with programme issues and is a contact point towards Managing and Paying Authority at Investitionsbank
S-H. He is also responsible for internal administration, Technical Assistance and acts as deputy director of the secretariat.

Leena Anttila |
 |
Programme Manager
Leena Anttila has graduated in agricultural sciences, land use economy and development studies and has post-graduated studies in EU project management. She has worked in the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture, dealing with regional rural development programmes and as managing authority of LEADER+.
Leena is responsible for overseeing and organising the overall implementation of the III B programme.

Regina Seifert |
 |
Office Manager
Regina has worked and lived in both Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania and London, United Kingdom and
has an extensive experience of professional office work.
Regina is responsible for the general administration of the day-to-day operations at the
Joint Secretariat. She provides and organises internal and external secretarial services to
all members of staff.

Corinna Günther (on parental leave) |

| Financial Manager - Technical Assistance
Corinna has studied Business Administration at the University of Technology, Business and Design in Wismar, Germany. Her main emphasis laid on accounting and controlling. She joined the secretariat in 2003 with experience in accounting and administration.
Corinna is responsible for the efficient use and handling of the Technical Assistance. She’s also the main interface between the Secretariat and the Paying Authority for projects’ payments. Furthermore Corinna is dealing with the national payment requests to the Member States.

Project Manager
Joanna graduated in Physical Oceanography from Gdansk University. She has experience in scientific researches as well as in leading projects on water and natural resources management.
Joanna is a member of the monitoring team. She is dealing with project implementation (progress monitoring, projects' changes, finalization of the projects).

Eeva Rantama |

Project Manager
Eeva has studied land surveying and regional planning at the Technical University of Helsinki. She has done post graduate studies in regional sciences ending with a PhD. She has worked as a project coordinator in the fields of rural and city development.
Eeva is coordinating the Project Team dealing with project applications, assessment procedure, project monitoring, project changes and closure of the projects.

Roman graduated in International Relations from the Academy of Economics in Wroclaw and did postgraduate "Master of
European Studies" at the Hochschule Bremen. He had also training at the European Commission in DG REGIO.

Ute graduated in Political Sciences, Sociology and American Studies at Rostock University. She has experience as Political officer in Brussels and in the INTERREG IIIC North Secretariat/INTERACT Point IIIC Coordination in Rostock. There, Ute was responsible for Project monitoring of IIIC operations and for the Management of the INTERACT Point.
Ute is now working for the Project monitoring team. She is dealing with project implementation, including progress monitoring, projects' changes and finalisation of projects.

Václav has studied Business Management at the Silesian
University in Karvina and at the University of Economics
in Prague. After the postgraduate international

Düben as well as Project Assistant on the area of
town renovation in Ludwigslust.
Václav is responsible for the financial management of the INTERREG IIIA cross-border priorities integrated into the BSR INTERREG III B Neighbourhood Programme on the priority and project level. Further he is supporting the financial team of the INTERREG III B priorities.

Financial Manager
Petra obtained an MSc in Economics (European Studies) at the University of Pecs in Hungary and finished postgraduate studies in Law for Economists. She worked for the Regional Development programme (Structural Funds) and Phare programmes in Hungary.
Petra is mainly responsible for monitoring of the progress reports and for providing advice, assistance and information on reporting and budgetary issues to the project partners.

Dana graduated in Baltic Management Studies in 2006. During her studies, she has been working as student assistant for the BSR INTERREG III B Joint Secretariat, as well as completed a 6-month training in a BSR INTERREG III B Lead Partner organisation.
Dana is responsible for monitoring of financial reports and for supporting applicants and project partners by providing advice and information on implementation, reporting and budgetary issues. Additionally, she supports the programme internal administration.

Project assistant
Marta graduated in Political Science from Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz. She has been specialising in European integration issues. Marta gained her professional experience through work in Energy Conservation Agency and educational institutions. Before joining Secretariat she has been a consultant in Europe Direct Information Network.
Marta supports the work of the Project Team. She is responsible for initial technical checks of progress reports. She also takes care of many tasks relating to project changes.

Ute had studied Business economics with focus on accounting and controlling at the Rostock University. She has worked as Accountant, Controller and Financial manager in several Companies and Non-Profit Organisations.

Database Coordinator
Robert has studied at the University of Rostock and the Ruprechts Karls University Heidelberg. He obtained master degrees in Political Science and History. From 2004 to 2008 he worked for the Joint Technical Secretariat of the INTERREG IIIC North Programme.
Robert is responsible for adjusting the Territorial Cooperation Management Database according to the needs of the users in the JTS. In addition he is the contact person for other programmes operating the database.
