More than 110 communication officers and project managers from INTERREG programmes attended a communication and media seminar in Berlin on 14-15 March. Trainers from Pinnacle PR gave workshops on writing, presentation, planning events and media relations skills.

Not only are projects subject to financial control, also the programme bodies of the Baltic Sea Region INTERREG III B are examined. This week Rostock office of the Joint Secretariat is busy with the system-check. The audit is carried out by the second level control body BAFA (German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control). Joint Secretariat for better understanding of the new Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013

On two occasions in January 2007, the Joint Secretariat’s team withdraw for internal training days on the new Baltic Sea Region programme. The idea was to create a deeper joint understanding on the objectives of the new programme but also to familiarize with the set of new EU regulations governing the implementation of projects and programme during the upcoming funding period. Another important purpose of the workshops was to find clarifying definitions and concrete examples that would help future applicants better understand the programme objectives and requirements towards the projects. The location was well chosen: the both remote and calm Manor House Gottin close to Rostock provided the perfect setting for intense discussions. ... more
